- Secretary-Treasurer Ted Pappageorge called the current policy 'deeply flawed,' noting married couples filing jointly can deduct only up to $25,000 of tipped income. The policy also excludes automatic gratuities charged to large parties.
- O'Donnell told a Dallas convention that many workers need two incomes to 'tread water' amid what he calls Biden's inflation crisis. The 'no tax on tips' provision itself expires at the end of 2028, limiting the policy's long-term impact.
