Horse Powertrain, a joint venture between Renault Group, Geely and Saudi Aramco, has unveiled a dedicated internal combustion engine designed to expand the capabilities of hybrid off-road vehicles into previously uncharted territory. Codenamed HORSE B20, the 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine has been designed from the ground up to support hybrid (HEV), plug-in hybrid (PHEV) and range-extended electric vehicle (REEV) architectures.
