Renault Updates 5 E-Tech With More Range, Faster Charging, New Personalization Options

Renault says the updated hatchback adds up to 20 kilometers of range and standard fast DC charging on the base model.

  • Renault is updating the E-Tech Five with more WLTP driving range, new technology, and fresh personalization choices. Orders for the revised range are now opening across European markets.
  • Engineers improved efficiency through aerodynamic tweaks to the lower body and door mirrors, combined with optimized battery electronics. The 52 Comfort Range version now achieves 267 miles of range, up from 255 previously.
  • A new 36.5 LFP battery powers the revised entry-level E-Tech Five, delivering up to 190 miles of range. This configuration adds 80 DC rapid charging as standard, moving beyond previous base-model charging limitations.
  • Inside, the hatchback gains a cooled Qi2 wireless charger, 4G-compatible e-call system, and optional Google Gemini AI. Personalization expands with gold-finished Techno wheels and Vibrant5 decals, evoking the classic Clio Williams look.
  • While European orders are now open, the broader package of updates will make its public debut in the coming weeks. Availability in British markets remains under review, pending potential Electric Car Grant eligibility.
