The CPI index of the Real Effective Exchange Rate decreased by 1.07 points in August to 105.04. According to data from the Central Bank, the dollar and euro gained in value, the CPI increase in the index was a booster, while the world basket and exchange rate changes had a reducing effect.
According to CMB data, the real effective exchange rate index decreased by 1.07 points on a CPI basis in August to 105.04 and a decrease of 0.26 points on a YI-PPI basis to 101.35. The value of the Turkish lira increased by 7.77 points on a CPI basis and 2.38 points on a YI-PPI basis compared to the same period last year. In August against the TL, the dollar gained 1.68 percent and the euro 3.20 percent.
