The former socialist councilwoman breaks her silence with a statement in which she defends the "full" legitimacy of her decision to make the PP candidate mayor to "drive that change Lugo needs."
The environment has become a real stumbling block for the People's Party of Galicia. In addition to its handling of wind energy policy, the government led by Alfonso Rueda is stubbornly pushing forward with projects that face widespread public and community opposition. This is the case with the Corcoesto mining site, for which the Galician government has just put various mining rights out to tender, including those within this area.
Several hundred people have gathered since before 11:00 a.m. in front of Lugo City Hall to show their rejection of the motion of censure that the PP has promoted against the two-party government -BNG and PSOE- and which began at noon.
