- The NIA alleged all accused were linked to Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind, an offshoot of Al Qaida in the Indian Subcontinent, and that the group sought to overthrow the Indian government and impose Sharia law.
- Key conspirator Muzafar Ahmad, also known as Faraz or Zafar, allegedly attended a secret June 2022 meeting at Eidgah in Srinagar and was involved in manufacturing improvised explosive devices at Al-Falah University in Haryana's Faridabad.
- Judicial proceedings now commence with doctor Umar Un Nabi, believed to have driven the explosive vehicle, among the 13 accused alleged to be linked to Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind.
