People wearing matching T-shirts with ‘S. H. LEE’ written on them arrived at the stadium early in the morning. They were fans who had come from Korea to support ‘Faker’ Lee Sang-hyeok (30). There were also local fans from Nagoya who said they came just to see Faker. Mixing together, they continuously shouted in unison, “We love you, Faker” and “Go, Faker.”
Korea won the gold medal in the League of Legends event at the 2026 Aichi Nagoya Asian Games with a 3-0 victory over Taiwan, achieving a second consecutive Asian Games title. In this tournament, Kim Gun-woo played an active role as the starting mid-laner, while Choi Woo-je, Ryu Min-seok, and others became gold medalists once again following the previous tournament.
The South Korean national team, which won the League of Legends (LoL) division of the Asian Games for the second consecutive year, is receiving a flood of congratulatory messages. Faker has even received congratulations from the National Police Agency.
South Korea is once again the champion of the Asian Games in League of Legends. The team took home its second consecutive gold medal, finishing the tournament without losing a game.
