Raspberry Pi H1 Earnings Call Highlights
Adjusted core profit more than doubled to $40.3 million as strong industrial demand and cheaper memory inventory lifted revenue 90%, the company said.
- On Thursday, Cambridge-based Raspberry Pi reported record first-half revenue of $256.9 million, up 90 percent, alongside pre-tax profit that more than tripled to $19.6 million. The single-board computer maker maintained an upbeat annual outlook despite rising memory costs.
- Raspberry Pi's strategic decision during 2025 to stockpile memory before prices surged allowed it to maintain product availability when competitors struggled. CEO Eben Upton said the move "has allowed us to maintain product availability at a time when smaller competitors have struggled to secure allocation."
- Industrial and OEM customers drove performance, with direct shipments rising 26 percent to 3.4 million units. Gross profit per board climbed to $12.20 from $8 year-over-year, boosting overall gross profit 79 percent to $59.4 million.
- Profitability will "moderate" as cheaper memory inventory acquired in 2025 runs down, Raspberry Pi said. To address supply constraints, the company is broadening its supplier base and adding production capacity with Sony.
- Demand remains strong, with about 1 million Pi Zero units on back order due to component packaging congestion. Raspberry Pi expects to ship more units in the second half of 2026 despite ongoing supply constraints.
