Rangers 1B Jake Burger leaves game after being hit by pitch
Texas Rangers first baseman Jake Burger left a game against the Los Angeles Angels after being hit by a pitch in the left wrist during the third inning of a game in Arlington, Texas.
Burger was diagnosed with a left wrist contusion, but X-rays were negative and he is listed as day to day by the Rangers.
Burger has hit 21 home runs this season and leads the team with 73 RBIs, one home run behind Joc Pederson's club lead.
The pitch that hit Burger was thrown by Angels starter Ryan Johnson in Saturday night's game.
