His wife, Mary, got him a one-of-a-kind wheelchair with three wooden crosses painted on the back, which is of course a reference to his classic hit, “Three Wooden Crosses.” Written by Kim Williams and Doug Johnson, the song was released as a single in November of 2002 from his Rise and Shine album.…
