At least eight people died and 18 are still missing after the sinking of a ferry to Turkia with 267 passengers.The ship's crew was arrested and charged with homicide for negligence and recklessness.
According to the Turkish station NTV, the ship was 26 years old, but had been inactive for at least four years before the accident.
ISTANBUL - Rescuers continued their search Monday for survivors from the Filo Jet passenger ferry that sank off the northern coast of Cyprus on Sunday, killing eight people and leaving 18 missing, authorities said. AFP reports.
