Quesnel-born playwright brings coming-of-age play to Wells this summer - 100 Mile Free Press

The play draws on 50 autobiographical short stories, with Hawkins-Bogle selecting 19 to trace a queer coming-of-age journey.

A solo production created and performed by a Quesnel native is coming to Wells this summer. On July 2, 3 and 4, at 8 p.m., community members are invited to the Sunset Theatre to check “The Blue Taffeta Party Dress,” a story created by Quesnel-born playwright, performer, and retired teacher and principal Dennis Hawkins-Bogle.
