Québec solidaire (QS) managed to save the furniture. The party retained nine seats and had MPs elected in Montreal, Quebec and Sherbrooke. Ruba Ghazal said it was a demonstration that "left-wing forces are still alive."
"We fought like only the left can fight," said Ruba Ghazal in front of his supporters; the party is in the process of electing 9 deputies.
