The proposed venture will combine consulting and India-based acceleration centres to expand global delivery and give PwC India access to wider partner networks.
- On Sunday, PwC US and PwC India announced a joint venture combining their consulting businesses with India-based Acceleration Centers into a single platform launching with 40,000 employees.
- The move aims to remove "the middle man, PwC AC," streamlining delivery by integrating market relationships, industry expertise, and delivery teams to better support US-headquartered enterprises with Global Capability Centers in India.
- PwC US will hold a 50.1% stake in the venture, while PwC India holds 49.9%. Executives expect this integration to grow the business from $1.3 billion to about $2 billion on day one, subject to regulatory approvals.
- Sanjeev Krishan, Chairperson of PwC India, will serve as CEO of the proposed entity. The transaction requires Competition Commission approval and is expected to close in the first half of calendar year 2027.
- Advancing a broader ambition to build a more globally integrated consulting model, the entity brings "technology, engineering and AI capabilities together at greater scale." It positions the firm to compete more effectively as a global network.
