With 96.86% of precinct tallies counted, Yabloko is on track to win seats in the Novgorod regional legislature’s eighth convocation, according to data from Russia’s Central Election Commission.
Yabloko is the only officially registered Russian party that openly opposes the war with Ukraine, and by excluding it, opponents of the current political and economic path and of the war with Ukraine lose the opportunity to express their position.

The regional parliament of Russia's Novgorod region is likely to include representatives of the opposition party Yabloko, which opposes Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Novgorod was the only region where the party was allowed to run. Yabloko was disqualified from the elections to the lower house of the Russian federal parliament a few weeks ago by the Supreme Court.
