A video that circulates on social networks has drawn attention by showing a man being chased by a shark miles off the coast of Santa Barbara, California, in the United States. The record was made on Saturday (25) during a course of hydrofoil, mode in which the board has an underwater wing that lifts it above the surface of the water, reducing friction and allowing displacement even with little wind.
A surfer was chased by a six-foot-long shark while surfing off Santa Barbara. The incident was filmed by another surfer and shows the great white chasing him at high speed for several minutes. The surfer managed to escape unharmed and was later reunited with the others. Experts say the incident comes as warmer ocean temperatures and the possible effects of El Niño could bring more sharks closer to shore.
