- On Thursday, April 30, Real Time Crime Center cameras captured Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister confirmed Davis throwing the puppy twice onto asphalt, then kicking the dog when it returned to her.
- Veterinarians at the Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center attempted multiple surgeries to save the dog, but Chronister said, "I hate that he wasn't strong enough to be able to survive the surgery."
- Davis currently faces six counts of aggravated animal cruelty, though detectives are consulting with the State Attorney's Office to determine if additional charges will be filed.
- "Animal cruelty has no place in our community, and we remain committed to seeking justice for this dog," the Pet Resource Center said in a statement.
