Public Prosecutor Opens Investigation Into U.S. Use of the Lajes Base

Complaint had been filed by the Left Block which, last week, delivered to the Prime Minister's official residence a letter signed by "about 8,500 people" asking the government to ban the U.S. use of the Lajes Base for attacks on Iran

In a reply to the Agency Lusa, the Office of the Attorney General of the Republic confirmed the investigation, stating that it was "established following a complaint lodged by elements of the Left Block".
