The PSV women's football team failed to win their first home match of the season. The reigning national champions could only manage a draw against FC Utrecht at the De Herdgang sports complex: 1-1. PSV had started the season on Sunday with a victory at PEC Zwolle (0-2).
Reigning national champions PSV Women suffered a heavy defeat completely unexpectedly. They trailed 0-1 for nearly an hour. However, with an own goal by FC Utrecht defender Vanilla van Marsbergen in the closing stages, they eventually managed to snatch a point: 1-1.
PSV Women dropped points for the first time this season in the Eredivisie on Saturday. The Eindhoven side drew 1-1 against FC Utrecht at De Herdgang, where goalkeeper Femke Bastiaen played a starring role. Ajax won 1-0 against PEC Zwolle.
