Should Iceland reopen accession negotiations with the European Union, 52.8% of Iceland's respondents answered no and 47.2% said yes, AFP reported.
The rejection of the reopening of the EU accession negotiations was mainly due to economic reasons and the defence of national sovereignty, but also to an intense climate of disinformation. Among the main hoaxes are young people forced to fight in a common European army that does not actually exist.
