Man's Body Found in Burning Car in Armagh
On Saturday night, the PSNI discovered the body of a man inside a burning car in the Harford Street area of Portadown, with the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service extinguishing the blaze.
Ammunition Technical Officers attended the scene following the fire, which caused significant damage to the car and neighbouring property, though Police confirmed there is no risk to the public.
Chief Inspector Tierney appealed for witnesses to contact Police on 101, quoting reference number 1764, as officials prepare to conduct a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death.
DUP Upper Bann MP Carla Lockhart described the event as "deeply tragic" and urged the public to avoid speculation, stating it "can cause enormous additional distress" to the grieving family.
