- On Friday, police arrested around 45 pro-Palestinian protesters who disrupted an Israel demonstration at Amsterdam's Dam Square near the national war memorial.
- Amsterdam Palestina Coalitie lost a court case earlier today attempting to overturn the city council's ban on counter-demonstrations. Mayor Femke Halsema's office cited public disorder risks for denying the permit.
- Protesters hung a large Palestinian flag from a shop facade overlooking the monument and sprayed red paint on the ground. Police removed the flag and relocated the sanctioned counter-demonstration to Oude Turfmarkt, around 500 metres away.
- Following the disruption, authorities led members of the arrested group away from the square. The public prosecution service will now decide whether to bring formal charges against those detained.
