The 31-year-old Russian prisoner who escaped from AZ Sint-Jan in Bruges in June was extradited to our country on Monday. This was confirmed by his lawyer, Randall Huysentruyt. Alaouidi D. has been detained by the investigating judge for the escape and for illegal possession of weapons. “But he never had the intention to escape,” says his lawyer.
The prisoner, who was brought to Hamidia Hospital, removed his handcuffs, pushed a jail guard, and escaped. CCTV footage of the incident has also surfaced. About four hours later, the accused was re-arrested from the poultry market in Jahangirabad.
