Former John Lewis Designer Launches North Wales Interiors Business

A former John Lewis interior design specialist has launched his own consultancy after relocating to North Wales, targeting regional and national clients with a flexible, digital-first model. Wroxton Leadsham-James has founded Juniper Blue Interiors following more than a decade designing residential and commercial spaces across the UK. Now based in Prestatyn after moving from the West Midlands with his family, the business operates predominantly online while also offering in-person consultations across North Wales, Cheshire and the Wirral. "People used to think interior design had to be face-to-face because they wanted to see and touch everything, but online design has proved itself," said Wroxton. "It's flexible, efficient and works around people's lives, especially for busy professionals." At John Lewis, Wroxton worked on projects ranging from single room transformations to large-scale home schemes and office spaces, but not everyone wants or needs a full-service designer. Juniper Blue Interiors is aimed at bridging the gap between DIY homeowners and fully managed interior design service, offering tailored packages that provide direction while allowing clients to deliver projects at their own pace and budget. Clients receive detailed design concepts, including 3D visuals for larger spaces, alongside curated shopping lists to support delivery. "I believe good interior design should be accessible, not intimidating," Wroxton said. "My role is to offer professional support and impartial expertise at a fraction of the cost of a traditional interior designer. It's really about empowering people to make confident decisions while still feeling supported every step of the way." Looking ahead, Wroxton has ambitions to expand the business into property styling services, working with estate agents to help homeowners prepare properties for sale. He added: "My approach is always client-led. It's not about imposing a particular look. It's about understanding how people want to live in or market their home, and helping them achieve that."
