President Trump rally in Oklahoma draws crowd of supporters
Trump told supporters he won all 77 Oklahoma counties and repeated false claims about foreign investment, jobs and inflation.
- On Thursday, October 1, 2026, President Donald Trump held a rally at the Choctaw Event Center in Durant, Oklahoma, urging supporters to vote Republican ahead of the November midterms.
- Severe weather grounded air travel, forcing Trump to travel by motorcade from Texas to Oklahoma, a state he chose due to its voters' strong support for him in 2024.
- Trump repeated claims that he has brought in $21 trillion in foreign investment and that his tariffs have spurred new factory construction, while asserting, "We've handled inflation."
- Economic data contradicts these assertions, as Trump has increased inflation from levels inherited from predecessor Joe Biden, a factor recent polling shows contributes to his historic low approval rating.
- With just 33 days until the midterms, Trump told followers that Oklahoma voters will "defeat the radical left Democrats," framing the election as a pivotal moment for Republicans.
