In an interview, Filipa Urbano Calvão pressured Seguro and said that there was reason to submit the reforms designed by the Government to the scrutiny of the Constitutional Court.
Filipa Urbano Calvão says that the institution "cannot leave the scene" and wants to be able to stop works that violate the law. On the end of the previous visa, Filipa Urbano Calvão recalls that the "belief that speeding up the procedures of the Public Administration will ensure the effectiveness of the pursuit of the public interest and public finances is to be demonstrated".
Filipa Urbano Calvão says that it is to be demonstrated that the end of the previous visa for more than 90% of public contracts guarantees the effectiveness of the management of public finances.
Filipa Urbano Calvão considered that there was a basis for submitting the reform of the Law on Organisation and Procedure of the Court of Auditors to the Constitutional Court, adopted in the Council of Ministers on 9 April this year.
The President of the Court of Auditors (TdC) admits to appeal to the Constitutional Court if rules which he considers unconstitutional are maintained in the reform of the institution and the President of the Republic does not request the preventive supervision of the diploma.
The TdC has to have a more intense follow-up on the certification of internal control mechanisms, subject to the fact that the system is weakened, says the president.
