Metro 2039 is not too far away, launching on February 4, 2027. While that game will truly bring the franchise into the current generation, developer 4A Games is launching next-gen updates for the first two games.
In honor of selling 50 million copies - the Metro 2033 and Last Light series will receive a massive update <p>4A Games and Deep Silver will update Metro 2033 Redux and Last Light Redux. The release will take place in October 2026 on PCs and consoles.</p>
Metro Redux, with improved versions of Metro 2033 and Metro Last Light, will receive a free next-gen upgrade at the end of October with technical and playable improvements on PS5, Xbox Series XS and PC.
