Prep report: Scissons shoots even par in first state golf round

Scissons birdied three holes to stay three shots behind the individual leader and keep Duluth Marshall third in the team standings.

Duluth Marshall senior Bennett Scissons posted a solid round to open day one of two in the MSHSL state Class A golf tournament on Tuesday at Pebble Creek Golf Club in Becker, Minnesota. Scissons is three shots off the individual lead after notching an even-par 72 in the first round.
