Prabowo requested that the IEU-CEPA process be completed immediately to expand Indonesia's access to the European Union market. |The IEU-CEPA is now entering the document finalization stage before proceeding to the European Parliament and the ratification process. |The government is targeting ratification of the IEU-CEPA in the second half of 2026 and implementation starting in early 2027.
The IEU-CEPA is said to be nearing signature, but it still has to go through several stages before coming into effect. The government is targeting the implementation of the Indonesia-EU agreement in 2027.
