City officials in Rochester, Michigan, are discussing an ordinance that would require riders on electric bikes, scooters and similar modes of transportation to dismount and walk through a part of downtown.

Rochester officials discuss e-bike, scooter ban in part of downtown

Officials in Rochester say they’re considering an ordinance that would reshape their downtown area for pedestrians. The discussions come after police said they’ve been getting complaints from residents about the recent encounters with people riding electric bicycles, scooters and skateboards.
