The entrance hall of the school of 1,700 pupils was set on fire on Thursday, 1 October, during the day of high school mobilization. While the authors are still unknown, the students worry about the consequences of the disaster.
As a result of the deterioration, the school, whose hall is "completely destroyed", will remain closed "until the holiday of Toussaint" and the courses will be provided "in distanciel", the region had specified a little earlier. As the fire broke out, high school students were still in the building, all of whom could be evacuated. The high school will remain closed for a month, until the end of the holiday of Toussaint.
Since the beginning of the week, high school students have been protesting against the old age of their institutions. In Nantes, however, their mobilization has degenerated and caused a fire which partially damaged an establishment built in 2014 and awarded the National Wood Construction Prize.
