Each year, Portugal invests about EUR 171 million in climate change adaptation measures, which is 43% of the value needed to protect itself from extreme weather phenomena, the McKinsey Institute concludes.
A study by the McKinsey Institute warns that the country will have to multiply by 10 the annual investment by 2050 to respond to the increase in exposure to extreme heat, dryness and fillings.
