Fishermen in Greece are protesting at the ports of Piraeus and Thessaloniki over rising fuel prices and other problems facing the sector.
The country's fishermen are in despair over the unaffordable price of marine fuel, which has tripled in price in less than a year. Trawlers filled the ports of Piraeus and Thessaloniki with the central slogan "save fishing from the extremely expensive fuel" as fishermen fight for survival. The Prime Minister stated that measures for fishermen are being considered.
