Plaquemines Port Harbor & Terminal District (PPHTD) commissioners remain split on the issue of the recently created Chief Operating Officer (COO) position. Though there was no public discussion on the COO appointment process during the April 23 port meeting— and commissioners have had several weeks to deliberate on the pool of candidates for the position—the port board once again failed to pass a resolution to appoint anyone as their new COO.
