Polls open for municipal elections in many towns across Newfoundland and Labrador

Voters are going to the polls in many towns across Newfoundland and Labrador throughout Thursday, with voting running from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. in most locations.

It's municipal election day across the province

Residents across Newfoundland and Labrador will cast ballots today to vote for councillors and mayors. Polls will be open in most areas from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eligible voters will be required to show a valid identification card.
