Polk County solid waste fees go up for 1st time in 13 years

POLK COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — Starting Wednesday, Polk County residents will be paying more in solid waste disposal fees. The Polk County Board of Commissioners approved the increase at the North Central Landfill in July. The increase went into effect on Wednesday.
