The Presidential Palace will not host any ceremonies celebrating the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah, "Rzeczpospolita" has learned. Karol Nawrocki is departing from a tradition cultivated by many of his predecessors.
This year, there will be no Hanukkah celebrations at the Presidential Palace, as confirmed to "Rzeczpospolita" by representatives of the Jewish community in Poland.
According to media reports, President Karol Nawrocki does not intend to organize Hanukkah celebrations at the Presidential Palace.
New President Karol Nawrocki is abandoning the long-standing tradition of celebrating the Jewish holiday, "Rzeczpospolita" has learned. Meanwhile, the Sejm, under new Speaker Włodzimierz Czarzasty, has yet to display a nativity scene – though one may appear in the future.
