Police were called to a part of Ewell last night following reports people were setting off fireworks near parked cars.
Officers were called to Hollymoor Lane following multiple reports of individuals setting off fireworks towards people and parked vehicles. One vehicle was left burnt out as a result of this incident, which took place at around 7.30pm. Damage was also caused to a fire engine that was there to assist with a nearby fire caused by the fireworks. Officers are investigating the circumstances of the incident and enquiries remain ongoing.
