The Vrgorac Border Police discovered more than 8.5 kilograms of marijuana in a vehicle on the A1 motorway, for which two people were arrested and handed over to the detention supervisor, the Split-Dalmatia Police Department reported on Wednesday.
A routine vehicle check near Vrgorac ended with the arrest of two young people after border police found suspicious bags in the vehicle.
Officers from the Vrgorac Border Police Station intercepted a private vehicle on the A1 highway on Monday, September 28, in which they found more than eight kilograms of marijuana. Police patrols stopped the car at around 4:20 p.m. The driver was a 34-year-old man (born in 1992), while the passenger was a 24-year-old woman.
