Police Report, Aug. 12
Police reported hit-and-runs, thefts and fraud in Salisbury, including a $11,000 loss and several arrests on separate charges.
- Salisbury Police Department reports from Aug. 10 include a breaking and entering charge against Michael Wayne Horne, 44, and vandalism in the 300 block of Lake Drive between 1:15 and 1:25 p.m.
- A motor vehicle was stolen in the 500 block of East Lafayette Street between 8 p.m. on Aug. 9 and 12:30 p.m. on Aug. 10; a trailer was also stolen in the 400 block of Bendix Drive between 6:45 p.m. on Aug. 6 and 2 p.m. on Aug. 10.
- Resisting arrest occurred in the 400 block of Union Heights Boulevard around 7:07 a.m. on Aug. 10, while larceny of automobile accessories was reported in the 600 block of Brenner Avenue between noon on Aug. 9 and 2 p.m. on Aug. 10.
- On Aug. 8, authorities charged Wiliam Alexander Swing, 49, with preventing activation of an antishoplifting device; Rodney George Edmond Withers, 31, with identity theft; and Jeffrey Boyd, 58, with possession of a controlled substance.
- Rowan County Sheriff's Office reports document assault with a deadly weapon in the 2400 block of Old Wilkesboro Road on Aug. 9 and fraud on Eastway Lane on Aug. 10, alongside an earlier assault in the 300 block of North Martin Luther King on Aug. 8.

Shoplifting, fraud and driving complaints for Estevan police
ESTEVAN — The Estevan Police Service (EPS) has announced a youth has been charged for shoplifting. According to the Aug. 11 police report, a young person was charged following a recent shoplifting investigated at a local business.
