Senior Lucy Letby hospital boss arrested
The suspect was bailed as detectives continue Operation Duet, the inquiry into possible corporate manslaughter and gross negligence manslaughter at the hospital.
On Wednesday, April 22, Cheshire Police arrested a suspect on suspicion of perverting the course of justice in connection with Operation Duet, an inquiry linked to the Lucy Letby case.
Operation Duet investigates corporate manslaughter and gross negligence manslaughter at the Countess of Chester Hospital, where Letby murdered seven infants between 2015 and 2016.
Detectives launched the investigation to "determine whether any criminality has taken place concerning the response to the increased levels of fatalities," including any "grossly negligent action or inaction of individuals."
Cheshire Police stated "searches at the property have now concluded," and the individual has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
Letby, 36, remains at Bronzefield Prison serving multiple whole-life orders while her legal team challenges her convictions.
