Police Probe Link Between Brixton Drive-by Shooting and Stabbing
Police are examining whether the two attacks are connected as a 25-year-old remains critically injured and a 33-year-old is in a life-threatening condition.
- On Saturday at about 01:15 BST, a vehicle fired seven shots on Coldharbour Lane in Brixton, leaving four people injured, including a 25-year-old man in life-threatening condition.
- Metropolitan Police are investigating if the shooting links to a stabbing an hour later, where a 33-year-old man was found with multiple stab wounds 300 metres away on Acre Lane.
- Witnesses at Southwyck House said partygoers 'scrambled for their lives' during the attack, and about 10 forensics workers were seen sifting through debris at the site on Sunday.
- Three victims aged 21, 47, and 70 sustained non-life-threatening injuries, and police urge anyone with information to contact them using references CAD 557/2May and CAD 907/2May.
- No arrests have been made regarding either attack, while Detective Chief Inspector Allam Bhangoo called the shooting an 'act of indiscriminate violence' and vowed to work relentlessly.
