Police in Salima have destroyed about five tonnes of cannabis sativa at Senga Bay in a continued crackdown on illegal drugs in the district. Salima Police spokesperson Sub-Inspector Rebecca Ndiwate said the cannabis was burned in line with provisions of the Police Act and the Dangerous Drugs Act.
