- Only 14 of the 94 Calls to Action have been completed in 11 years, according to an independent Indigenous watchdog, with 41 recommendations in progress, 24 stalled, and 15 not started.
- Federal Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre also attended the ceremony, one of many held across Canada to honor children who survived residential schools and those who never returned home.
