- State Sen. Paul Bettencourt confirmed the planned attack was scheduled for Thursday. "Literally, just within a few hours of the tip they had the potential perpetrator in custody," Bettencourt said.
- DPS officials reported the investigation is ongoing and will maintain an enhanced presence at the Capitol. Spaw noted the threat was not cause for public alarm.
