HALLOCK, MN—A woman from Kennedy has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for a fatal shooting in Hallock. 23-year-old Jordan Hanson was sentenced Wednesday in Kittson County Court. In May, she pleaded guilty to second degree felony murder for killing Justin Esparza at his home in March 2025. Prosecutors say Hanson shot Esparza in the head at his home while using his own gun.
Eduly Ermitaño Huayhua Mondragón was sentenced to 15 years in prison after being found responsible for killing a villager in Ayabaca province with two bullets.
