Pitkin County gives go ahead for USFS purchase of Snowmass Falls Ranch for $34M

The Pitkin County Board of County Commissioners approved on first reading Wednesday the purchase of the Snowmass Falls inholding by the United State Forest Services for $34,000,000. This approval comes at the recommendation of the Pitkin County Open Space and Trails Board, who supported the purchase at their Aug. 6 meeting.
