Pistachio has been named the trendiest colour of 2026

A Samsung poll of 2,000 adults found pistachio beat rivals such as sage green, chocolate brown, and butter yellow to top the list of shades reflecting 2026's mood.
The 'pistachio effect' is strongest among younger generations, as 89 per cent of Gen Z and 77 per cent of Millennials noticed this shade appearing more frequently in 2026.
Technology is increasingly an extension of personal style, as 61 per cent believe an unusual colour makes a device stand out, with 52 per cent thinking it makes technology feel more fashionable.
Samsung Ireland launched the Galaxy S26 featuring AI-powered tools including Photo Assist, FanCam, and Horizontal Lock in pistachio, blueberry, and graphite shades.
Colour can act as an instant time machine, with 46 per cent saying certain hues transport them back to specific life stages, though 63 per cent warn some shades risk instantly dating items.
