- This liquefied natural gas will be sourced from Port Arthur LNG Phase 2, currently under construction in Jefferson County, Texas, supporting Sempra Infrastructure's dual-coast strategy.

- Port Arthur LNG Phase 2 features two liquefaction trains producing approximately 13 Mtpa of liquefied natural gas, increasing total facility capacity to approximately 26 Mtpa.
- Commercial operations for trains 3 and 4 are expected in 2030 and 2031, respectively, as the facility plays a critical role in expanding U.S. natural gas access globally.

Petrobras signed a long-term contract for the purchase and sale of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) with Sempra Infrastructure, an American subsidiary company of Sempra, as reported by the oil company on Monday (14).The contract, signed at the end of August, provides for the purchase by Petrobras of 0.8 million tons per year (mtpa) of LNG for a period of 20 years, with supply from the LNG Liquefaction Terminal of Port Arthur, Texas, United States.
