Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban wants to use the giveaway to compensate for the unfavorable difference in polls ahead of the parliamentary elections scheduled for April this year, Bloomberg reported.
Hungary's parliamentary elections will be decided by non-voters, mobilizations and the system that Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has adapted to his own power. Polls show Orbán's Fidesz party lagging behind Péter Magyar's opposition force.
